David Hite is from the Northeast Tennessee area and is an organizational improvement consultant who has over 20 years of experience in the areas of teaching and corporate training, organizational learning and employee development. Currently, David is a full-time consultant working with various clients on leadership skills, team development, coaching and training. Over the past 5 years, he served as business professor and department chair for Virginia intermont College in Bristol, TN. Before going into teaching and consulting, he worked with Eastman Chemical Company, Tennessee Valley Authority, and The University of Tennessee. As a consultant, he has worked with Volkswagen Group of America, Northup-Grumman, Tempurpedic, Y-12, and Alpha Natural Resources and several others enhance their operations through the use of human resource development strategies and web technology. He’s had the opportunity to work with world-class leadership authors such as John Maxwell, Ram Charan, and Ben Zander and has taught hundreds of corporate workshops and college classes.
David has an associate degree in Computer Science, a BS degree in Workforce Education and Training (minor in Psychology), and a Master’s degree in Business from the University of Tennessee with concentrations in Organizational Development and Instructional eLearning technologies.
He loves hiking, camping, motorcycling and travelling abroad and has studied business in over 30 countries. His extensive travels and participation in study abroad programs in over 20 countries, including Greece, China, Peru, and most countries in Europe gives him an opportunity to incorporate diverse viewpoints into most of the projects he works on.
